The Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) was announced on 20th October 2010 with over £850,000,000 being pledged in support by the Government. The details of the RHI has yet to be confirmed but will be supporting Solar Energy and other heat source engergies such as Air Source Heat Pumps and Ground Source Heat Pumps with payments being made per Kw of energy produced from these sources.
Microgenration Scheme
In order to access funds under the RHI the design and installation must be carried out by a Microgeneration Scheme accredited installer, ADMS Engineering Ltd gained accreditation in 2010.
Solar Energy
Over the recent years developments in Solar Energy have meant that Solar Heating has become more efficient. Whilst it will not produce all of your hot water throughout the year it will contribute significantly, typically up to 60%. Not all properties are suitable for Solar Energy, but we will happy to advise as to suitability and options.
There are a number of products to suit your requirements including evacuated tubes, flat panels which can be fitted either on top of roof tiles or let into the roof.
Air Source Heat Pumps
Air Source Heat Pumps can be used as a primary heating source for both domestic hot water and central heating. They can also be used in conjuction with a variety of existing heating systems eg gas boilers or oil fired boilers. An Air Source Heat Pump is usually sited externally and scavenges heat from the atmosphere, even as low as -20C, and transfers the heat to the water for your domestic hot water or central heating system.
Ground Source Heat Pump
Ground Source Heat Pumps work in the same principle as Air Source Heat Pumps but otain their heat from pipes that are put into the ground. The advantage of Ground Source Heat Pumps are that the heat in the ground is more stable and therefore more consistent than the atmosphere.
Design and Installation
We can offer a complete design and installation service for renewable energies. We have entered into partnership agreements with several manufacturers that offer a range of products to suit all requirements and budgets. Whilst we are based in Sussex we are more than happy to extend our services to the rest of the South East and further.
